SOC 205 Racial & Ethnic Relations

(Contact Hours: 3) This course focuses on racial, ethnic, and multicultural relations primarily in the United States, but attention will be paid to such relations in other countries. Basic concepts such as prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, power, adaptation, and change will be developed into a theoretical framework that will be applied to an analysis and discussion of selected racial and ethnic groups. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
