BREW 256 Management & Quality Ops

(Contact Hours: 6) This advanced level lab course will cover the management of the brewery and product quality through hands-on instruction at our on-campus brewing lab facilities. Students will explore the basics of brewing business, finance, marketing, and sales; develop skills in leadership, management, and human resources; learn about the laws, governing bodies, and reporting; understand sustainability in terms of societal, environmental, and economic impacts; delve into the management of quality; and gain an understanding of the common operations and technologies utilized in these processes. Lab content in this course will cover topics discussed in the corresponding lecture course, BREW 255. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of or concurrent registration in BREW 255 is REQUIRED.
