ENG 203 American Lit:Beginnings/1865

(Contact Hours: 4) This course is an introduction to, and survey of, American literature from its beginning to the Civil War. Students will read, discuss, and write about a variety of American Literature. Authors read may include Emerson, Thoreau, Poe, Hawthorne, and Melville. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ENG 110 or ENG 160 is REQUIRED.
