MATH 158 Applied Calculus

(Contact Hours: 4) This is a course in the applications of calculus for majors in business, social science, or a life science. The topics include functions, rates, limits, differentiation, and integration. Students should not take both this course and MATH 160. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 29.5, ALEKS: 61, Accuplacer (College Level): 60, NextGen Accuplacer (Advanced Algebra): 240, ACT: 26, COMPASS (Algebra): 79, or MATH 150 is REQUIRED.
