BREW 126 Industry & Hospitality Ops
(Contact Hours: 6) This introductory level lab course will cover beverage science through hands-on instruction at our on-campus brewing lab facilities. Students will explore the history, culture, and modern industry of fermentation; develop skills in customer service and taproom management; delve into basics of sensory science, various beer styles, and the field of food pairing; and gain an understanding of the common operations and technologies utilized in these processes. Lab content in this course will cover topics discussed in the corresponding lecture course, BREW 125. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of or concurrent registration in BREW 125 is REQUIRED.
