ECE 275 ECE Internship: Infant/Toddler

(Contact Hours: 3.5) This course empowers early childhood professionals to deepen their understanding of child development for children aged birth to 3 years, refine their teaching practices, and cultivate a strong professional identity. This course requires 150 hours of in-field experience under the supervision of an eligible full-time teacher. Students will practice designing and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences for infants and toddlers, practice professional communication with colleagues and families, and engage professionally in an environment fostering professionalism, cultural responsiveness, and a growth mindset. Through guided reflection, students will create their own teaching philosophy tailored to the needs of infants and toddlers. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ECE 210 is REQUIRED.
