Early Childhood Education, AAS
This program prepares students to pursue rewarding careers in the field of early childhood education. Employment opportunities include teaching in preschool, early childhood, and special education classrooms; working as administrators and directors in childcare settings; and providing childcare in both home and center-based environments. Graduates may transfer credits toward a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or elementary education at many colleges and universities. Kalamazoo Valley advisors and counselors are available to assist students with transfer information. Full-time students can complete this degree program in as quickly as five semesters. Pathways for both full-time and part-time students are available in a cohort model.
